Precious Wedding: website design and visual direction
Strategy, Product UI, Revamp, Visualization
Elevating Malaysia's Bridal Scene with Precious Wedding
As a Marketing Executive at a boutique bridal studio, I led the design and maintenance of the website’s digital presence. I worked across website design, event landing pages, and campaign visuals, focusing on soft aesthetics, user centered layouts, and consistent storytelling.
Assessing the problems
The brand’s online presence needed fine tuning on the visual harmony and emotional depth that its bridal services embodied. Customers want to connect more with their bridal brands on a more personal level. Event landing pages were functional but needed stronger storytelling to truly connect with potential brides.

Researching and Analysis
To understand how best to elevate the visual and functional aspects of the brand, I began by reviewing bridal industry competitors and analyzing user behavior on the site. I studied how visitors interacted with content, where engagement decreased, and what types of visuals held attention. I also worked closely with the team to understand the brand’s emotional tone; romantic, soft, and timeless and translated that into a visual system. Inspiration was drawn from bridal colour palettes, editorial magazine layouts, and modern wedding mood boards.
Goals
My goal was to create a digital identity for Precious Wedding’s services. This included
designing a clean, user friendly website
building promotional landing pages that clearly guided users while maintaining a strong emotional appeal.
creating visual consistency across campaigns and
improve the site’s SEO performance to enhance online visibility and customer engagement.
The magic dust
Before the polished visuals, there’s always the quiet chaos of discovery and this is where the real magic happens. For Precious Wedding, I began the design journey by diving into moodboards, style references, and hand-drawn sketches.

I explored how traditional cinematic influences, modern bridal trends, and cultural aesthetics could coexist in one cohesive visual direction.
These early explorations helped anchor the final visual identity, guiding everything from font choices to color palettes and layout rhythm.
Ideation
During the design phase, I developed a visual language that has an authentic storytelling element and designed clean layouts for the photography and message to shine. My ideation process also involved streamlining sections that could be reused across pages to maintain consistency while allowing creative flexibility for different campaigns.

Solution
I redesigned key areas of the website to better reflect the brand’s visual identity and optimized the layout for both desktop and mobile viewing. I created visually engaging landing pages for in-house bridal fairs, focusing on clear hierarchy, emotional imagery, and smooth navigation. In addition to event design assets, I contributed to SEO strategy by improving content structure and keyword integration, which helped increase the site’s online reach.
Design System
Colour strategy
The promotion period was aligned with the Chinese New Year celebration, making the header and main Call to Action (CTA) with red colours and added yellow accents/shades to the other parts of the landing page.

Typography
I used Cormorant Garamond for the title and special text, together with Cinzel for headings and Futura typeface for subtext to create clean readability for web and mobile use.
Components/UI elements
Cards help break complex offerings into digestible chunks. Visual + text pairing helps users process faster (dual coding effect). Cards create a sense of separation between reviews, so each testimonial feels authentic and “owned” by a person. For the photo grid, grid structure = clean, Instagram-like browsing.

Symbol of love & prosperity
The circle (圆, yuan) is a deeply meaningful symbol: it represents wholeness, unity, harmony, and perfection. In the context of weddings, circles resonate with the idea of an eternal bond; everlasting love.

Imagery, Illustrations
The imagery communicates romance, elegance, and timelessness. It’s designed to build emotional resonance with the target audience (couples planning weddings), while staying cohesive with the brand’s premium positioning.

Implementation & feedback
After collaborating with development and marketing teams to implement the landing page, I ensured that the layout remained responsive across devices and that image quality, text clarity, and load speed met performance standards.
User feedback was collected through both internal reviews and client interactions during in-house events. Visitors responded positively to the page’s visuals. Based on this, I made small refinements like improving CTA button contrast and reorganizing mobile spacing to further enhance user experience. The final result supported higher engagement and contributed to a successful turnout for the bridal fair.
